NEW YORK, July 08, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The first-ever Novus Summit, will take place at the United Nations General Assembly Hall on the 17th of July, in New York City.  The Novus Summit will be a special event in partnership with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, held during the UN High Level Political Forum for Sustainable Development (HLPF) week. The Summit will leverage Science, Innovation, and Technology to unite Humanity around the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to transform our World. Heads of State and Government on September 25, 2015 adopted the 17 SDGs, also known as the 2030 Agenda. The new agenda is expected to stimulate action over the next fifteen years in areas of critical importance for humanity and the planet and shift us onto a more sustainable and resilient path.
