UV-A LED Lamp Goes Where the NDT Inspectors Need to Go

WESTBURY, NY--(Marketwired - July 11, 2016) - Spectroline's powerful OPTIMAX™ 365 cordless UV-A (OPX-365) LED inspection lamp is engineered ready to go. Whether the application is Magnetic Particle Inspection or Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, this lamp is designed to meet the needs of the inspector in the field.

The OPTIMAX™ 365 utilizes ultra-hi-flux LEDs (lifetime is 100,000 hours) to produce a nominal steady-state UV-A intensity of 18,000 µW/cm² at a distance of 15" (38 cm.). Powered by a rechargeable NiMH battery, the flashlight provides 90 minutes of continuous use between charges. The lamp has an Electronic Intensity Stabilizer, which assures consistent performance (the beam strength will not weaken between charges). With instant-on operation, the lamp reaches full intensity immediately with the push of a power button.

Weighing in at just 11.8 ounces (335 g.), the OPTIMAX™ 365 is lightweight and compact. Its ergonomic design makes it comfortable to hold and allows for freedom of movement during inspections. This reduces fatigue and the chance of repetitive stress injuries. The rugged lamp body is made from corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum. That makes it safe to use around chemicals and liquids, allowing it to stand up to years of heavy, regular use in the field.

The lamp comes equipped with accessories including:

  • a rubber lamp head protector
  • UV-absorbing spectacles
  • a belt holster
  • smart AC and DC battery chargers. The AC charger is available in 120V, 230V, 240V or 100V versions.

Everything come packed in a convenient and durable carrying case for easy storage and retrieval.
