The Grounds Guys of Mt. Lebanon Wins $116K Army Contract

PITTSBURGH, PA--(Marketwired - July 15, 2016) - The Grounds Guys of Mt. Lebanon, a woman-owned small business servicing Pittsburgh and the surrounding area, announced this week that it received a contract worth $116,226 from the U.S. Army Engineer District, Pittsburgh.

The contract calls for the company to furnish grounds maintenance services at the USACE Pittsburgh Engineer Warehouse and Repair Shop and at West View locations. These services include grass cutting and trimming (depending on location); shrubbery shearing; and fertilizer and weed control.

The company has been in business for four years, and has provided a full suite of services to the government in that time, including snow and ice removal, turf applications, and landscaping. Company Owner Ashley Ungerman credits her company's sweeping success to its attention to detail and customer-oriented approach.
