LMI Aerospace delivers its first HondaJet aileron, flap assemblies


  • Work packages highlight company’s proven metal forming, machining, processing and assembly capabilities
  • HondaJet work statement supports LMI strategy to expand aerostructures customer base

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 13, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LMI Aerospace Inc. (Nasdaq:LMIA) (“LMI” or “the company”) has delivered its first aileron and flap assemblies to Honda Aircraft Company for the HA-420 HondaJet, an advanced light jet being manufactured in Greensboro, N.C.

The aileron and flap assemblies were the first aerostructures work packages LMI was awarded on the HondaJet program, supporting LMI’s strategy to expand its customer base. LMI subsequently was awarded a contract to provide engine pylons for the HondaJet. The company previously provided engineering services on the program.
