Albert Taylor Nelson, Jr., of Giarmarco, Mullins & Horton, P.C., Named as a 2016 Michigan Super Lawyer


TROY, Mich., Nov. 02, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Albert Taylor Nelson, Jr. has been named as a 2016 Michigan Super Lawyer in the area of Business & Corporate Law.

Mr. Nelson is Of Counsel to the firm and specializes in litigation and workers’ compensation. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Nelson taught Social Studies at the nationally renowned Cass Technical High School in Detroit, Michigan.

Over the years, Mr. Nelson has been active in the community, involving himself with numerous civic and professional organizations. He is a former Board Member of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers, a national organization established to honor distinguished workers’ compensation attorneys.  Further, he is a former board member of the American Red Cross Southeastern Michigan Blood Services, serving as Secretary and on the Executive Committee. Mr. Nelson also was appointed, and reappointed to the State Board of Ethics by Governor Rick Snyder. The seven-member board serves as an advisory and investigatory committee which determines the ethical conduct of classified state employees and public officers in the executive branch of the Michigan state government.

Mr. Nelson received both his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Detroit, and his Law degree from Wayne State University.
