Brandmuscle Hires Key Leaders for Local Media and Co-op Marketing Management

Jen Miles named VP of Performance Marketing and Chris Land named VP of Client Service for Co-op and Channel Management

CHICAGO, Dec. 15, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Local marketing software and service provider Brandmuscle has hired two established leaders that will help national and global brands execute the last mile of marketing—a major opportunity highlighted by the company’s latest industry research: The State of Local Marketing Report.

Newly appointed Vice President of Performance Marketing, Jen Miles, and Vice President of Channel Marketing Client Service, Chris Land, will lead efforts directly related to implementing and funding local marketing programs aided by Brandmuscle’s suite of multi-channel marketing technology. Both accomplished business leaders will make an immediate impact for Brandmuscle clients who manage marketing across distributed networks of dealers, agents, franchisees, distributors and retailers.

“Brandmuscle’s core technologies help global and national brands automate customized local dealer, retailer, agent and franchisee marketing programs within brand guidelines and corporate budgets,” said CEO Phil Alexander. “Our clients are increasingly asking us to help streamline advertising funding and campaign execution for their affiliates. With Jen and Chris on our team, our clients can expect us to further build our leadership in these areas.”

Jen Miles to Optimize Location-Based Media Planning and Buying with Analytics and Strategy
Bringing more than two decades of marketing, technology and media planning experience, Jen Miles will help lead Brandmuscle’s rapidly growing Performance Marketing team—a combination of traditional media, event and digital marketing services that connects national brands to media execution at the local level.

Formerly the director of analytics and technology for a media planning and buying agency, Miles has spent her career helping clients adjust to the shifting media landscape by effectively placing, measuring and optimizing their media campaigns across traditional and digital channels. This focus will continue as she leads the Brandmuscle team responsible for implementing local media plans for national clients that are executed on behalf of hundred and sometimes thousands of local dealers, agents and retailers.

“Our national brand clients work with Brandmuscle to offer location-based integrated media programs for their distributed networks,” said Jason Tabeling, Brandmuscle SVP of Performance Marketing. “Jen’s experience implementing complex integrated media programs lends itself perfectly to this challenge. She’ll not only help our existing team thrive but will ensure our local marketing execution has a fresh perspective, maximizing ROI through a combination of digital and traditional media channels.”

Miles’s work with Brandmuscle began in November, helping to shape clients’ 2017 integrated local marketing plans. She has a degree in broadcast production from George Washington University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. Miles also serves on the board of Cleveland’s American Advertising Federation and is an active volleyball coach.

Chris Land Brings 20+ Years of Fortune 100 Channel Marketing Expertise to Brandmuscle
Working directly with Brandmuscle’s channel marketing clients, Chris Land will report to EVP of Channel Management, Rhonda Parouty and help drive further innovation with global and national brands executing co-op, spiff and channel marketing automation programs.

Land has focused his career on using technology to optimize marketing channels from manufacturer to retail locations across various sales channels. Most recently, he led client service for Sears where he managed channel marketing programs across various technology products being sold through a network of corporate-owned and independent retail locations. Land also spent 15 years optimizing channel revenue for General Electric where he worked with the company’s appliance, lighting and energy divisions—experience that will add immense value to Brandmuscle’s clients.

“Chris has excelled at every position he’s ever held, whether it was managing multi-million dollar client portfolios or leading client service teams of more than one hundred people,” said Parouty. “His leadership will propel Brandmuscle’s suite of channel marketing software solutions and help our clients drive revenue through intelligent and optimized channel incentive programs.”

Land’s career accomplishments are complemented by his Six Sigma certifications and extensive leadership training. He has a degree in marketing from Central Michigan University and enjoys spending time with his wife of 15 years and two daughters who he adores.

“Our clients look to Brandmuscle for leadership and innovation related to local and channel marketing,” said Alexander. “Adding accomplished and driven leaders like Jen and Chris will ensure that our clients see the results they‘ve come to expect and help Brandmuscle deliver our promise to ‘own local.’”
