Phone.com Building on Momentum Going into 2017

New products drove Phone.com to new heights in customer base and revenue

NEWARK, N.J. , Jan. 19, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Phone.com, the leader in cloud-based business communications, has enjoyed strong growth of its user base as the company saw year-over-year gains. Growth happened across the board, as no single vertical or customer accounted for more than 4 percent of the expansion.  Some new customers included The City of Newark, Liftmaster and StructuredWeb.

“Our comprehensive cloud-based business communications system offers the features and versatility that all businesses across all verticals can appreciate,” said Phone.com CEO Ari Rabban. “Our feature set works just as well in the boardroom as it does in the factory as it does in the co-work space. We’re also a part of the New Jersey tech ecosystem and having the state’s largest city, Newark, replace its phone systems with Phone.com is a great vote of confidence for the work we do.”

In 2016, Phone.com added to its product line including a new and improved API with deep hooks into the phone system, web collaboration and video conferencing, call presence and updated iOS and Android apps.

“All of the products we added directly address the needs of our customers and the evolving market demands,” said Phone.com CTO/EVP Alon Cohen. “Especially when it comes to our latest APIs, we’re providing access to our core systems in such a way that a customer can easily build the phone system they need rather than settling for the system as it is built. APIs are the future of business integration and we are building out a full set for developers to use integrating our services with their systems.”

On top of the new products, features and growth, Phone.com received a healthy share of accolades including being listed on the Inc. 5000 for the 5th straight year, winning the 2016 TMCNET Customer Experience Innovation Award, the 2016 Internet Telephony Product of the Year Award and more.

“Awards are great, but we can’t let them get in the way of our primary focus: our customers,” said Rabban. “We invest in infrastructure and customer support not for the recognition, but to ensure our customers get the service they deserve. We will continue to build in 2017, continuing our accelerated growth.”
