PRINCETON, ON – Frank Cowan Company presented the Municipality of East Hants with the annual Excellence in Municipal Risk Management Award at the Frank Cowan Company Reception during the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Conference in Ottawa, ON.
The Municipality developed and implemented a safety program at their operating sites that improved organization of material, eliminated inadequate inventory control and mitigated safety hazards such as blocked emergency equipment. This risk management solution included three initiatives all of which helped to reinforce a culture of safety rooted in sound risk management practices within the Municipality.
