USHCC Announces 2018 Local Chamber Grant Recipients


Washington, D.C., April 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2018 USHCC Local Chamber Grant Awards. The grants will be awarded to local Hispanic chambers of commerce that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the Hispanic business-owners they serve. The grants will be presented to the winning chambers at the 2018 Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C.

“Our local chambers allow us to have a deeper relationship with Hispanic Entrepreneurs across the country, and the level of ideation by our chambers on new programs to support Hispanic business development was outstanding," said Fernand Fernandez, Interim President & CEO of the USHCC. “Our local chambers are the core of our organization, and we are proud to support them."

This 2018 USHCC Local Chamber Grant recipients include:

  • Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
    • Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!)
  • Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
    • ESL Entrepreneurship Program
  • Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
    • Small Business Technical Assistant Program
  • Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey
    • Hispanic Entrepreneurship Training Program

The recipients were recognized during the Opening Reception of the 2018 Legislative Summit on April 24, 2018 at 5:00 PM EST in Washington, D.C.

The USHCC actively promotes the economic growth, development and interests of more than 4.37 million Hispanic-owned businesses, that combined, contribute over $700 billion to the American economy every year.
