Cardiometabolic Health Congress (CMHC) Concludes CMHC West 2018

Boca Raton, May 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cardiometabolic Health Congress concluded its event CMHC West: Advancing Cardiometabolic Health from East to West on Saturday, May 5th at Wynn Las Vegas. As hundreds of participants gathered to further their knowledge and understanding of cardiometabolic health at the two-day conference, CMHC West focused on the most recent clinical research in cardiometabolic disease prevention and treatment. Through a detailed, extensive agenda of cutting-edge keynote presenters and thought leaders, clinical educational sessions, interactive lectures, and exhibitors, the conference further offered 18.75 CME credits to attendees.

As a proliferation of scientific information and evidence continues to emerge surrounding the multitude of ways in which cardiovascular health is tied to a host of diseases and disorders, CMHC presented a carefully curated agenda that featured world-renowned experts and clinicians, and continued its longstanding tradition of providing the latest, most current data and clinical education in cardiometabolic health. Moreover, as global public health epidemics including obesity and diabetes become progressively critical and severe, CMHC West represented a forum in which primary care practitioners and professionals could simultaneously learn from expert faculty, as well as each other.

Keynote presenter Alan Chait, MD, Edwin L. Bierman Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle, delivered a lecture titled "Obesity and Inflammation: What have we learned from animal models?" Moreover, in an effort to facilitate increased engagement and hands-on learner participation, CMHC presented a complimentary CME breakfast symposium that reviewed type 2 diabetes and kidney disease, based on the most innovative concepts in interactive infographics. Through a combination of case-based learning and infographics, coupled with an interactive presentation delivery, this symposium allowed attendees to further internalize and understand clinical data and information. Additionally, CMHC integrated the Educational Measures Array™ technology, which provided all attendees with iPads to use throughout the educational sessions. Engineered to enhance the learning experience, with the added benefit of delivering data-driven analytics to presenters and attendees, live meeting technology yields the most engagement and impact.

As cardiovascular health becomes an increasingly critical facet of patient wellness—coupled with the need to address root symptoms of cardiometabolic disease—the far-reaching potential of CMHC West marked an exciting and unique opportunity for attendees to be at the forefront of the constantly evolving industry of healthcare.  Delegates were able to learn firsthand about the newest and most effective ways to enhance practice and patient outcomes, while establishing new business and networking contacts, through a collaborative community of like-minded clinicians: all of whom are dedicated to the prevention and treatment of cardiometabolic disease.
