BLAKE PETERSON APPOINTED TO LEAD TRANSWESTERN’S PROPERTY MANAGEMENT IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA

Industry Expert to Accelerate Growing Asset Services Portfolio

SAN FRANCISCO, May 17, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Transwestern today announces Blake Peterson has been appointed Senior Vice President to lead Transwestern’s property management services for the Northern California region. She will focus on growing Transwestern’s Asset Services portfolio in the Greater Bay Area, elevating service delivery to clients, identifying innovative technologies, and recruiting top-performing talent.

“Blake has an outstanding track record overseeing large management portfolios and enhancing the tenant experience at those properties,” said Jeff Moeller, Senior Managing Director and San Francisco Market Leader. “We are excited to leverage her expertise to continue to elevate our Northern California Asset Services team.”

Peterson most recently served as Director, Asset Services at Cushman & Wakefield where she was responsible for 34 office properties in San Francisco totaling more than 7 million square feet. She previously worked at Langley Investment, Brandywine Realty Trust and Hines. Her clients have included MetLife, UBS, Pembroke, CreditSuisse, Ponte Gadea, Invesco, Zynga, Deka, ADIA, Grosvenor, University of Pacific, TIAA, ARA and GE.

“I am excited to join Transwestern because it is uniquely positioned to provide all the benefits of a major real estate firm in a nimble and customized manner,” said Peterson. “As investor needs evolve, there is increasing demand for an Asset Services partner that maintains the highest property management standards while remaining agile and strategically aligned with clients every step of the investment cycle, and Transwestern delivers on that expectation.”

Transwestern utilizes an innovative approach to property management, called The Transwestern Experience, that reflects the company’s unique culture while producing measurable results for clients. The four goals include consistently creating positive experiences, connecting the dots between internal and external service, rupturing industry stereotypes, and building passion about purpose. The approach has resulted in an average 12 percent increase in overall tenant satisfaction.

“The Transwestern Experience emphasizes that everyone is a client – from the building owner to occupants to vendors and customers visiting the properties,” said Edward F. Del Beccaro, Senior Managing Director and Market Leader for the East Bay and Silicon Valley. “This mindset is the foundation upon which Blake will continue to drive value for our clients and tenants.”

Peterson earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Pacific. She holds designations including Real Property Administrator, Certified Property Manager and LEED Accredited Professional Operations & Maintenance and is a licensed broker in California. She was previously president of the San Francisco chapter of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and is the current chair of the Leadership Development Committee.
