Uproar PR Appoints Christina Pantin as Managing Director

Former Samsung PR leader, Reuters veteran joins executive management team of award-winning public relations and social media agency

ORLANDO, Fla., June 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Uproar PR, an international, full-service public relations, digital and creative agency, announces the hire of former Reuters global business journalist and communications practitioner, Christina Pantin, as managing director at Uproar PR. With 25 years of experience, which includes covering corporate news in the United States and across Asia combined with public relations experience at Samsung Telecommunications America and two global agencies, Pantin will play a strategic role at the firm, focusing on managing and growing its clients and team.

Pantin’s exposure to a wide range of industries, companies and cultures will place her in a pivotal role to contribute to the agency’s expansion. At various times in her experience at Reuters, she was a correspondent, bureau chief, editor in charge and general manager in New York, Dallas, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hanoi and Bangalore. Besides Samsung, she was an executive at Brunswick Hong Kong and at Abernathy MacGregor New York. Her agency experience included a variety of practice areas for clients in financial services, biopharmaceuticals, private equity, professional services, luxury retail, media and commodities.

“Uproar’s client base is increasingly global, and it is important for us to invest in senior resources who bring skills and experiences that reflect our clients’ strategies and aspirations,” said Catriona Harris, CEO of Uproar PR.  “At the same time, we seek to enrich our leadership in order to nurture our team of communications and creative professionals who deliver outstanding results for our clients.”

Previously, Pantin headed Samsung’s product PR team for the B2C and B2B markets, leading global product launches for the company’s flagship Galaxy and Note smartphones. Her agency experience included media and communications training for C-suite executives, crisis communications, media and investor relations, content creation and executive branding. She has managed large newsrooms across regions, in addition to being a polished public speaker who has moderated client events involving Heads of States, reported live on business broadcast programs, and run workshops for non-profit and academic institutions on personal branding and communications.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Uproar at this critical time of its growth, and to have an opportunity to help lead and foster client and team success,” said Pantin. “I bring a journalist’s eyes, ears and mind coupled with a communicator’s understanding of what businesses need to tell their story.”
