Leading industry executives will influence company’s strategic roadmap to fuel adoption of its audit and software advisory services

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 16, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Connor Consulting (http://connor-consulting.com/), a global leader in contract compliance and software licensing today announced the launch of its new Advisory Board, a strategic group of executive-level industry experts serving as trusted advisors to Connor Consulting and their clients on industry trends, best practices, and overall operational strategy.

"The value of an Advisory Board cannot be understated," said Viresh Chana, Founding Partner of Connor Consulting Corp. "This committee of industry experts will lend their experience and guidance to shape the strategic direction for our company with the unwavering goal to make our customers successful.”

In addition, Connor Consulting welcomes Conroy Shum to the Advisory Board. Shum, President and CEO of Aurora Motors, is a leader in the licensing and compliance industry. He brings to Connor Consulting an unparalleled level of expertise and proven track record with more than 17 years of IP licensing compliance experience and over $1.4 billion in compliance revenue generated.

"We are thrilled to have Conroy Shum join our Board of Advisors. Conroy brings a wealth of licensing and compliance expertise and valuable insights that will help us take our business to new heights," said Chana. “His experience and approach to building and managing high performing compliance organizations are invaluable, and we look forward to working with him closely to make our vision a reality.”

Shum’s license compliance experience extends beyond the board room. Prior to taking the helm at Aurora Motors as President and CEO, he served as Sr. Director of Worldwide License Compliance at Dolby Laboratories where he was responsible for leading its IP licensing compliance efforts throughout the world, with a significant focus in Greater China. Prior to Dolby, Conroy was Director, Worldwide License Compliance at Adobe Systems, where he designed its compliance program from inception, which grew to a $300 million business annually, with particular focus on desktop and server software deployments in the enterprise, education and government sectors. He began his compliance career at Oracle Corporation, where he focused on channel software compliance in the ISV space. Conroy holds a JD from Pepperdine University, a BS in Accounting from USC, and is the co-founder of the Silicon Valley License Compliance Roundtable.

“Whether you are looking to monetize your IP to fuel continued innovation or focused on minimizing your license compliance exposure and optimizing your technology investments, the need for deeply passionate experts who put the customer’s needs first is critical,” said Shum. “The Connor team has a uniquely talented skillset and I look forward to advising them and their clients on how to leverage their technology-based approach to help both IP owners and software licensees meet their compliance goals.”
