NEW YORK, Oct. 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Benchmark Litigation has once again named Labaton Sucharow as a Top 10 Plaintiffs Firm in the country in its 2019 edition. The Firm also earned top rankings in Securities Litigation and Corporate Governance and Shareholder Rights Litigation categories.

In addition to firmwide and practice area recognitions, Benchmark recognized partners Thomas Dubbs, Jonathan Gardner, Jordan Thomas, and Mark Arisohn as Litigation Stars.  Partner Michael Canty was named Future Star and partner Ned Weinberger was included in the publication’s 40 & Under Hot List.

Jonathan Gardner was selected as Local Litigation Star, and described by peers as “really deep in it, engaged and strategic.” Over the past year, Jon secured settlements in cases against Advanced Micro Devices and Genworth Financial, among others.

Jordan Thomas was recognized in the guide for the first time and was acknowledged by a peer for cultivating “a very impressive space for himself in that world, and a very impressive pathway for this practice in general.” Jordan represented the whistleblowers that received a record-setting $83 million from the SEC’s Whistleblower Program.

Mark Arisohn, who retired from the Firm this month, went out on a high note by securing preliminary approval of a settlement with Intuitive Surgical. Mark was also on the team that won class certification in a securities class action against Precision Castparts.

Michael Canty is leading the Firm’s team prosecuting, as co-lead counsel, In re Facebook Biometric Information Privacy Litigation, and helped win class certification and denial of defendants’ motion for summary judgment earlier this year.
