Neste Set To Unveil The First Commercial Fueling Site In California Offering Neste MY Renewable Diesel

Clean, Low-Carbon Fuel Becomes More Accessible for Fleet Vehicles

SAN LEANDRO, Calif., March 12, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Renewable diesel fuel is soon to be much more accessible to fleet drivers looking to fuel up in northern and central California, thanks to four cardlock locations that will be offering Neste MY Renewable Diesel, made by the world’s largest producer of renewable diesel fuel.

Cardlock locations are unstaffed fueling stations designed to accommodate fleet vehicles, including 18-wheel trucks. Newly Neste-branded cardlock locations are located here:

  • San Leandro, Calif. (Western States Oil, 2709 Teagarden St.) – opening March 12, 2019
  • San Jose, Calif. (Western States Oil, 1790 S. 10th St.) – coming late March 2019
  • Keyes, Calif. (Van De Pol,5675 7th St.) – coming mid-April 2019
  • Ripon, Calif. (Van De Pol, 801 S. Frontage Road) – coming mid-April 2019

Each location is slated to have a full supply of Neste MY Renewable Diesel™, a low-carbon fuel produced from 100 percent renewable and sustainable raw materials that cuts greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80 percent compared to petroleum diesel.

Neste MY Renewable Diesel is competitively priced with traditional petroleum diesel – so fleets don’t have to sacrifice cost for sustainability.

In California, state policymakers have imposed the most aggressive environmental standards in the country to reduce greenhouse gases. Neste MY Renewable Diesel fuel meets and often exceeds California’s rigorous emissions standards while meeting consumer requirements for sustainability.

“Demand for cleaner fuels is on the rise globally, and California is a leader in the movement toward an emissions-free future,” said Jeremy Baines, vice president of sales for Neste. “Neste MY Renewable Diesel helps meet environmental needs without compromising performance or cost.”

Neste MY is a clean-burning diesel fuel that keeps fuel filters, particulate filters and fuel injection systems cleaner and vehicles running efficiently. It is a direct replacement fuel for petroleum diesel that requires no blending and is compatible with all diesel engines without any modification or change in infrastructure.

“Since launching in California in 2011, we’ve had a lot of positive feedback from drivers and fleet managers using Neste MY,” Baines said. “And those who haven’t tried it yet keep asking where they can get it. We’re proud to offer Neste MY Renewable Diesel at these cardlock locations to further expand its accessibility and lead the renewable fuel revolution.”

Neste MY Renewable Diesel is available to public and private fleets in California through authorized distributors. For more information on Neste MY, and to learn how your fleet can make the switch, visit NesteMY.com or find a distributor.
