GO Leverages NetNumber TITAN Platform for Network Modernization

Supports Development of Innovative Services for Subscribers

Lowell, MA, April 03, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --
NetNumber announced today Malta’s leading communications services company GO plc will continue to modernize its network infrastructure by leveraging the NetNumber TITAN Platform in order to provision more innovative services to meet market demands.

GO has been working with NetNumber since 2005 to deploy a smart signaling solution, and today continues to expand deployment of signaling and routing database functions by adding the STP, DSC, and ENUM-DNS functions on the existing TITAN CSRC platform.  Embracing the opportunities enabled by network function virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN), GO is simplifying services offered to its subscribers through NetNumber’s industry leading Centralized Signaling and Routing Control platform, TITAN.

The unique flexibility offered by the NetNumber TITAN platform enables GO to deploy services with unprecedented efficiency as it consolidates coherent applications at the edge of the network that support current service demand and sets the foundation for digital transformation.  NetNumber TITAN offers sophisticated and modern service layers by consolidating the NetNumber STP, DSC, ENUM-DNS and Number Portability applications onto the single platform.  Integrating additional applications from the NetNumber portfolio onto the platform is done via a simple software download.

“Maintaining the right balance of flexibility and efficiency during the process of modernizing and transforming our network is critical for a company like ours,” said Richard Crossley, head of the network team at GO.  “The TITAN CSRC platform actually facilitates the reduction of operational costs while introducing new services.  NetNumber’s innovation in the way the signaling network is deployed sets the path towards 5G.”

The NetNumber TITAN CSRC platform is a common, virtualized infrastructure for all signaling control, routing policy enforcement and subscriber database services in the network.  It uniquely delivers centralized provisioning and management combined with a powerful distributed, in-memory database replication method that enables all signal processing to happen at the optimal location in an operator’s network.   TITAN is transforming how operators delivers new services to their customers while significantly simplifying the network core and reducing operating costs.

“Operators are facing unprecedented demands in terms of bandwidth, devices, access, and authentication services,” explained Matt Rosenberg, NetNumber Chief Revenue Officer.  “However, those demands can’t be easily met with a network that has been built over decades, that do not seamlessly mesh together legacy and new technologies.  NetNumber TITAN enables customers like GO to modernize their infrastructure through one common platform for past, present and future technologies and services and by reducing the complexity built up over the decades.  The result is a network that can evolve, reducing CAPEX and OPEX requirements while expanding the ability to deliver innovative services.”
