Open House at Our Seniors' Residences

Living spaces so attractive and rewarding that even the "younger crowd" is trying to do everything possible to get in!

MONTRÉAL, April 25, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On Sunday April 28th, over 450 members of Le Regroupement québécois des résidences pour aînés (RQRA), also known as the Québec Seniors' Housing Group (QSHG), will hold an OPEN HOUSE for the population at large, from 1pm to 4pm. This is the 8th edition of the event, one that attracts thousands of visitors yearly to our participating seniors' residences across Québec.

This year, our television awareness campaign features "Monsieur Tanguay", a quirky and determined young man who appears disguised as a senior citizen in a wheelchair, persistently attempting to register and move into a residence for seniors. This humorous concept aims at informing the public about our desirable living spaces in a playful, refreshing way.

"Our Open House Day offers to all an ideal opportunity to drop in, visit and discover how wonderful these living quarters are for seniors, a setting where they can be content and safe" says Yves Desjardins, President and CEO of the RQRA-QSHG.

The owners, managers and staffers of the RQRA-QSHG's participating seniors' residences will be on hand to meet and greet visitors this coming Sunday April 28th. The population will be able to witness firsthand the residences' common areas, their dining and activities rooms, their rental units (studios and apartments) and, in particular, to experience the friendly, family-type atmosphere that exists within the premises. For the event, several of the participating residences will present thematic activities on the spot, such as concerts, food and wine tastings as well as art exhibitions, many involving and created by the tenants themselves.
