HP Small Business Today Study finds that compared to previous generations, the next generation of small business owners are less motivated by personal gain and more driven by making a difference


PALO ALTO, Calif., May 03, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In advance of National Small Business Week, HP Inc., today released the results of a new study that highlights the shifting values of small business owners across generations. Surveying more than 4,300 small business owners across the globe, the HP Small Business Today Study finds that with each new generation of small business owners the importance of driving positive change grows.

The HP Small Business Today Study is a global study by HP Inc. It was conducted by global market research firm Edelman Intelligence, across three continents and 10 geographical areas (USA, Canada, China, Germany, Mexico, Russia, Iberia (Spain and Portugal), South East Asia (Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Philippines), UK, and India). Fieldwork took place over February 2019. We interviewed more than 4,300 small business owners (1-100 employees) aged 18+.
