NEW YORK, May 08, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Brain & Behavior Research Foundationis hosting a free interactive webinar on “Crossing the Goal Line; Bringing Ketamine Treatments to the Clinic”on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, from 2pm to 3pm ET. Gerard Sanacora, M.D., Ph.D., Professor of Psychiatryat Yale School of Medicine and Director of the Yale Depression Research Program,will discuss how the discovery of ketamine and now esketamine as rapidly acting antidepressants have been major advances in the treatment of mood disorders. 

During this Webinar, Dr. Sanacorawill provide an overview of various clinical trials and focus on addressing clinically relevant questions related to the use of this exciting new treatment approach and the potential benefits this drug can offer to those with treatment-resistant depression. Jeffrey Borenstein, M.D., President and CEO of the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation and host of the public television show “Healthy Minds,” will be the moderator. Since 1987, the Foundation has awarded more than $394 million to fund more than 4,700 leading scientists around the world, which has led to over $3.9 billion in additional funding. 100% of every dollar donated for research is invested in our research grants.
