With these clients we are expanding into two new clinical use cases - Pediatric Remote Patient Monitoring (Pediatric RPM) and Principal Care Management (PCM). Effective January 1, 2020, the Centres for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) introduced PCM billing codes to allow specialists to use the iUGO Care platform to provide disease-specific care management to their patients. Unlike the Chronic Care Management (CCM) billing codes, which are intended for use by a patient’s primary care provider and require that a patient have two or more chronic conditions, PCM provides reimbursement to specialists managing patients with one chronic condition. This allows Endocrinologists, Nephrologists, Respirologists, Cardiologists and other specialists to provide ongoing care to their patients in the community setting to prevent complications, reduce the cost of care and improve health outcomes.”
