IP Fabric Partners With Illumio to Bring Application Context to Network and Cloud Assurance

Industry-first collaboration will help joint customers connect application and workload context with a validated digital twin of network and cloud behavior

BOSTON, Sept. 02, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- IP Fabric, the leading network digital twin platform, today announced a partnership with Illumio, the breach containment company, to give organizations a clearer, more complete understanding of how their applications depend on underlying network and cloud infrastructure.

Modern applications span increasingly complex hybrid environments, while the information needed to understand them remains divided among network, application and security tools. This fragmentation creates a critical blind spot. Teams may know what the network permits or what workload-level policy enforces, but they lack a single view of how those controls work together to affect an application.

IP Fabric is working to close that gap by correlating application context from Illumio with observed network behavior. The resulting capabilities will help joint customers understand application dependencies and determine whether network, cloud or workload-level controls are affecting connectivity without replacing their existing application monitoring or security investments.

“Enterprises have invested heavily in understanding their applications and network, but the truth remains fragmented across teams and tools,” said Pavel Bykov, CEO of IP Fabric. “IP Fabric and Illumio have the technology and expertise to change that. By connecting application and workload context with validated network and cloud behavior, we intend to give enterprises something they have never had before: a trustworthy, end-to-end understanding of how their most critical applications are connected, controlled and affected by change.”

The collaboration will help network, application and security teams to troubleshoot connectivity problems faster, understand application dependencies, assess the potential impact of network changes and validate that the segmentation policy aligns with actual network and cloud behavior. Customers will gain this additional context while preserving their existing application monitoring, infrastructure and microsegmentation investments.

“Workload segmentation is most effective when organizations understand it in the context of the complete infrastructure path,” said Todd Palmer, senior vice president of global partner sales and alliances at Illumio. “By bringing together Illumio’s application and workload intelligence with IP Fabric’s deep understanding of network and cloud behavior, we can help customers better understand how their critical applications communicate and where security controls should be applied. This insight gives teams great confidence to make changes, reduce risk, and keep applications running securely.”

The collaboration will span technical development and go-to-market programs, bringing their complementary capabilities to joint customers more effectively. It also marks the beginning of a broader effort to help network, application and security teams work from a shared understanding of the environment rather than separate and sometimes conflicting views.

Additional details, including availability, will be announced at a later date. Visit the IP Fabric website to learn more.
