POLICY ON TRAVEL BONUS SCHEMES

According to policy guidelines agreed by the Group Executive Committee in its meeting on December 20, 1999, all business trips shall be planned with a view to minimising total costs, taking into account the time used for travelling.

It was also noted in the meeting that the Jaakko Pöyry Group takes a liberal view of personal travel bonus schemes offered by airlines and hotel chains in connection with business trips. However, ticket prices, hotel prices or travelling times related to bonus schemes must not cause any extra costs.

Managers responsible for approving travel plans and the travel service staff will have the right to change any reservations, if this is necessary to minimise costs.

According to the tax authorities' decision, airline tickets purchased with the aid of bonus points related to business trips are generally regarded as taxable income. Please check local tax regulations on this point.
