Standing 100 meters long and 30 meters high, the big air ramp is just one of the many hot attractions of the "Don't be bored. Be totally board." Nokia event on September 2 at CentrO in Oberhausen, near Dusseldorf. For the first time ever, international top stars of different board sports will demonstrate their skills in one and the same place. The board sports represented range from snowboarding, wakeboarding and skateboarding to inline skating and BMX. The sports events will be interspersed with music from popular hip hop bands and DJ's on the scene. "We are very happy to be hosting such a first class event. The event is a great way to bring people togther for fun and entertainment," said Ilka Hannemann, Marketing Manager, Nokia GmbH, Nokia Mobile Phones Sales.
The list of participants resembles a "Who's Who" of board sports. Numerous world champions as well as European champions will demonstrate breathtaking jumps and turns on several ramps. Among them is skateboard legend and teenage star Tony Hawk from the USA. For skateboard fans this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the most successful skateboarder ever show what he can do. Also appearing in Oberhausen are wakeboard world champions Darin Shapiro and Rob Mapp from the USA, Nokia FIS Snowboard Worldcup winner Tomas Johansson from Sweden, as well as members of the National German Rollerblade Team.

The final showdown between the board stars begins at noon on Saturday, Sept. 2, and ends just before midnight with the snowboard and skiing finals on the big air ramp.
Musicwise there will also be some hot acts. The main music act Bomfunk MC's as well as the bands Pottpoeten and Maladment, together with DJs Alex Morph, Signum and Red5 will provide the right "board music" during the event. On Friday, Sept. 1, there will also be a Sölden party at 8 pm with DJ Krid P. and a surprise live music act on the main stage near the snowboard ramp.
