Marathon Engineers/Architects/Planners LLC, a Jaakko Pöyry Group company based in Appleton, Wisconsin, has been appointed main engineering consultant for Madison Paper Company's deinking plant and PM1 rebuild project at their mill in Alsip, Illinois. The assignment comprises detail engineering, project management and site supervision services. Most of the services for the project will be provided by Marathon, with technology support from Jaakko Pöyry Oy in Helsinki. The total value of this assignment is approximately EUR 8 million.
Marathon is the Jaakko Pöyry Group's North American subsidiary, belonging to the Group's Forest Industry business group. Marathon was acquired in 1997 and the company today employs some 130 people.
