Egersund Basin South 2000

Naersnes, Norway, October 19, 2000 - TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company in cooperation with Fugro-Geoteam is pleased to announce acquisition of non-exclusive 2D survey EBS00 (see attached map). The EBS00 survey, South of the Yme Field, is focused on the blocks 9/6, 10/4, 10/5 and 10/7, thus covering blocks 9/3, 9/8, 9/9, 10/8, 10/10 and 10/11 (less density). The acquisition of EBS00 commenced on Sept. 15 using the vessel Professor Polshkov.

The EBS00 survey is located in an established oil-producing region with sparse seismic coverage and no modern data available. Several large structural traps containing Jurassic strata have been identified in the survey area through interpretation of old 2D data.
