Appointment in Jaakko Pöyry Group

Ms. Anne Viitala, LL.M has been appointed General Counsel and secretary to the Executive Committee of Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj as of January 1, 2001. Ms. Viitala has been employed by the Group since 1995 and at present holds the position of Senior Counsel of the Energy business group in Zurich. Ms. Viitala will report to Mr. Teuvo Salminen, Deputy CEO of the Group.

The present General Counsel of the Group, Mr. Kari Heliö, LL.M will join the Law Firm Gilbert, Segall & Young Oy as Head of the Finnish Offices as of Janury 1, 2001.

Mr. Juhani Ristaniemi, LL.M, MBA (32) has been appointed General Counsel of the Energy business group based in Zurich as of January 1, 2001. Mr. Ristaniemi will move to Jaakko Pöyry Group from the position of General Counsel of Valio Oyj. Mr. Ristaniemi will report to Mr. Jukka Nyrölä, CEO of the Energy business group.
