Nokia to deliver WAP solution to China Mobile Communications Corporation to serve the need for mobile services in China


Nokia Neu CommTech Company Ltd.(Nokia Neu), one of Nokia's joint ventures in China, and the Beijing and Hubei branches of China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC) have signed an agreement for the delivery of Nokia's WAP solution for the creation and delivery of mobile Internet services to North, Central and Western regions of China.

Nokia Neu develops comprehensive Mobile Internet and Messaging platforms and applications for Chinese cellular market. Nokia Neu was established on June 2000, it has today fully operational local R&D and Systems Integration centers to respond rapidly emerging mobile application needs in China.
Deliveries have already begun, and the system will be operational in February this year. Following this agreement, WAP services will be offered to more than one million subscribers in China.
