The Supervisory Board and the Executive Board of Wolters Kluwer nv deeply regret the decision of Peter van Wel and express their appreciation for the more than 17 years Mr. Van Wel contributed to the well-being of Wolters Kluwer.
In the Executive Board of Wolters Kluwer Mr. Van Wel was responsible for International Health & Science, Education, Finance and Accounting. The Chairman of the Executive Board, Rob Pieterse, will take over the responsibility for Finance and Accounting. Board Member Hugh J. Yarrington will take over the responsibility for International Health & Science and Education.

Ms. McKinstry will initially combine her Board Member activities with her responsibility as CEO of Legal, Tax & Business North America.
As CEO of Wolters Kluwer Legal, Tax & Business North America, Nancy McKinstry is leading one of the most profitable businesses of Wolters Kluwer. LTB North America ha annual sales of EUR 789 million in 1999 and is comprised of CCH US Publishing, CCH Legal Information Services, Aspen Publishers, CCH Tax Compliance and CCH Canadian. From 1996 to 1999 Ms. McKinstry served as president and CEO of CCH Legal Information Services. Under her leadership, CCH LIS experienced rapid growth, expanded its line of technology-based services and products.
