Navara and Birdstep Announce Strategic Partnership to Integrate Ultra Small Footprint XML Database into Circadia on Mobile Handheld Devices


OSLO, Norway, August 7, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Birdstep Technology ASA (OSE:BIRD) and NavaraSoft Ltd. have announced a new strategic partnership. Navara has integrated Birdstep's ultra small footprint XML database into Circadia, Navara's computing application for mobilizing corporate data, on mobile devices. This integration has greatly enhanced the performance of Circadia on devices with limited processing power, limited memory and limited battery capacity.

The award-winning Birdstep Database Engine is the only native XML small footprint database on the market. With its superior performance and native XML-support, it becomes the ideal implementation to store and retrieve XML documents from Circadia.
