METSO TO LAUNCH AN INAUGURAL EURO BOND OFFERING


Metso Corporation, rated Baa2 (stable outlook)/BBB+ (negative outlook), is planning to launch an inaugural Euro denominated bond offering subject to market conditions. The offering will be documented under Metso's EMTN Programme. The issue is intended for refunding certain of the company's bank loans as well as for general corporate purposes. The company's intention is to have a roadshow in Europe next week. The bookrunner for the transaction is Schroder Salomon Smith Barney.
