AGREEMENT IN PRINCIPLE ON ARRANGEMENTS INVOLVING KEMIRA'S FERTILISER BUSINESS

Kemira Oyj has been notified about an understanding in principle reached between Industri Kapital, the owner of Dynea, and the Finnish Ministry of Trade and Industry, that Kemira's fertiliser business unit Kemira Agro can be separated from the new Group whereby the Finnish State can become a direct or an indirect majority shareholder in the fertiliser business as soon as the deal concerning Kemira has been finalised.

Dynea's vice chairman of board Stig Gustavson believes that this arrangement will help eliminate one major obstacle in the Kemira deal.

The arrangement aims joining together the businesses of Kemira Oyj, Dynea Oy and Sydsvenska Kemi AB.

The final decision on the Kemira deal will be made by the Finnish parliament.
