The UK Mail Order Company Damart Prefer ReadSoft for Automatic Data Capture

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 10, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- ReadSoft has won an order to install Eyes & Hands FORMS at Damart, the leading thermal underwear supplier in the UK. Damart will process millions of payment slips and goods returned forms in a highly automated process and speed up the entire delivery procedure. The initial order is worth 130,000 USD.

Damart anticipates to process approximately 9000 delivery forms per day at their center in the UK using ReadSoft's technology for automatic data capture. ReadSoft's Eyes & Hands FORMS solution will read, interpret and verify information written on the forms, drastically reducing the need for a manual operator time. FORMS will allow Damart to input the customer payments at twice the speed as before. This will allow them to update their finance database and ensure better customer service because the customer account details will be updated faster and more accurately. FORMS will also process the forms that the customer supplies with returned goods, allowing higher control of stock information.

"ReadSoft understood Damart's complex brief perfectly and we are delighted to be embarking upon a long term relationship," says Damart spokesman Jim Crosbie. "ReadSoft has exhibited a high degree of professionalism throughout all our discussions."
