Metso Minerals, the rock and mineral processing business area of Metso Corporation, will sell Interconsult i Falkenberg AB to Jyki Corporation from Finland. Interconsult manufactures tanker superstructures and employs about 150 people. The company's net sales in 2001 totalled about EUR 12 million. Most of the company's operations are located in Falkenberg, near Göteborg, Sweden. The business will transfer to the buyer immediately. The parties have agreed not to disclose the acquisition price.
Interconsult is one of the planned divestitures published by Metso Minerals at the end of last year. The company was transferred to Metso Minerals through the acquisition of Svedala Industri AB in September 2001.
