NEW YORK, Feb 21, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- eB2B Commerce, Inc. (Nasdaq:EBTB), a leading provider of business-to-business integration and transaction management solutions, announced some of its key operating metrics and new customer signings for its fourth quarter ended December 31, 2001.

During the fourth quarter, the company added such well-known vendors as Verizon Wireless, Adobe Systems, Just Wireless, JVC Disc America, Cakewalk, Original Sound Records, WHP Wireless, and NBN. They join the thousands of other trading partners, including AT&T Wireless Services, ATI Technologies Inc., Archos Technology, Link America Inc., and Ventura Distribution, using eB2B's Trade Gateway products and services to conduct any-to-any order management transactions and expand their revenue opportunities with existing customers and other retailers.

For the year 2001, transaction volume grew by over 1.4 million transactions to 2.7 million, an increase of 112 percent from the year 2000. The 2001 results include a full year of operations, while the year 2000 results only include transactions processed after April 18, 2000 (the acquisition date of DynamicWeb Enterprises, Inc.). On a pro-forma basis, including transactions processed by DynamicWeb prior to the acquisition from January 1, 2000 to April 18, 2000, transaction volume increased by approximately 937,000 transactions or 53 percent during 2001 from 2000. Total value of goods purchased reached $580.4 million, an increase of approximately $150 million, or 34.7%, from 2000 on a pro-forma basis.

eB2B's chief executive officer, Richard Cohan, commented, "We continue to focus on growing our Trade Network(tm) and delivering value to the companies that comprise it. Whether using our Web-based Trade Gateway vertical market platforms, or our EDI professional services, more and more vendors see eB2B as the most cost-effective way to be electronically compliant with their trading partners, and broaden their reach to new customers. The increase in transaction and purchase volume demonstrates the acceptance of Trade Gateway products and services in the marketplace and gives us the opportunity to build upon this success in 2002."
