With more than 15 years of senior management experience, O'Neill, 48, is a leading executive in the communications and computing industry, most recently with Oracle Corporation, Reston, Va. He succeeds Jim Frey, who is retiring.

"Jim is a leader of considerable skill and expertise and he will be an important addition to our senior management team," said Anderson. "His experience in intelligence, networks, electronics and management will keep TASC at the forefront of technology providing innovative and effective solutions for its customers."

Since June 2000, O'Neill has served as senior vice president and general manager of Oracle Services Industries, where he led the company's sales and consulting groups in the communications and utilities sectors.

Prior to Oracle, O'Neill served as president of Lucent Technologies' Government Solutions business in Murray Hill, N.J., where he worked with the federal government to provide complex network solutions for voice, video and data requirements within the worldwide federal market. The enterprise was the fastest-growing segment of Lucent.

"TASC brings unique capabilities and exceptional technologies to Northrop Grumman Information Technology, and we will continue our focus on sustainable growth and delivering added value to our customers and shareholders," said O'Neill. "Northrop Grumman is clearly a company on the move and I am extremely pleased to join the corporation at this exciting and challenging time."

O'Neill also worked at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) from October 1987 through January 1997, where he was vice president and general manager for the Federal Government Region, the largest business within DEC at the time. Under O'Neill's guidance, DEC successfully won and managed several classified contracts through Europe, the Middle East and Australia while also gaining market share in the U.S. defense and civilian sectors. Before joining DEC, O'Neill started his professional career at Sanders Associates. He earned a bachelor's degree from St. Anselm College and attended executive management courses sponsored by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.

Jim Frey retires from Northrop Grumman after 14 years with the company. During his tenure at TASC, Frey led the organization through a period of solid growth.

"Thanks to Jim Frey's effective leadership, TASC has solidified its place among the nation's top cyber-security providers and reinforced our long-standing relationship as a trusted partner to the U.S. government," said Anderson. "He leaves a thriving enterprise that is nothing less than a national asset, and we wish him well in his retirement."
