ESPOO, Finland, March 13, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The National Dental Service in Skane chooses TietoEnator's Effica solution for the development of its dental care operations. The contract means that all of the 133 clinics within Skane's National Dental Service will have access to complete IT support in their daily work. The order is TietoEnator's largest so far within the area and is valued at approximately EUR 2,2 million.
Effica is complete IT support that includes digital medical records, booking system, receipts, attendance notice routines and remittance handling. The solution supports a modern dental care organization where the clinic work is based on teams in close collaboration with specialists. In the planning and following-up of the operations, consideration is taken to both financial and quality aspects. In addition, external digital X-rays and X-ray picture handling can also be coupled to the system.
