VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 14, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- P.Z. Resort Systems Inc. (CDNX:LLX) ("RSI"), a leading developer of property management and reservation systems for the hospitality industry worldwide, announced today that it has signed a marketing and distribution agreement with Quality Assurances Services Corp., of Destin, Florida.
Quality Assurances Services ("QAS"), a firm specializing in the marketing of vacation property rental management systems and hardware, has an exclusive, worldwide agreement with Kaba Ilco to market their new keyless, time-sensitive access control system designed specifically for the vacation rental market. Kaba Ilco is one of the largest access control manufacturers in the world.
RSI's integration of its PropSoft, a server-based vacation property rental management system, with the Kaba Ilco 4400 Oracode commercial grade door lock provides the only way to grant secure lock access from the Web.
QAS has a North American sales force of 70. These industry professionals will sell PropSoft and the Kaba Ilco door lock as a single solution for Property Management Companies ("PMC"). Not only will the PMC get a state-of-the-art property management system but also when a guest makes an Internet booking they will be given an access code that opens the Kaba Ilco door lock. This means guests can go directly to their rental unit upon arrival, at their convenience and without having to find or visit the manager's office. For the PMC, the high cost of re-keying or re-locking doors when keys are lost becomes a thing of the past.
RSI's President and CEO, Peter Adam, explained, "QAS charges the properties per door, per month, and our agreement calls for us to share in this recurring revenue. We also now have their 70 sales people selling our product for us.
