The product launch makes Precise Biometrics one of the biometrics companies offering products with support for the leading standard for biometrics products, BioAPI, which is an important customer advantage. The new software, Precise BioMatch(TM) Standard, is targeted primarily at suppliers of security software who wish to be able to offer their clients secure and convenient authentication. The product enables security software suppliers to employ Precise Biometrics' patented algorithm for matching fingerprints, Precise BioMatch(TM), to replace passwords with fingerprints, for instance, when logging onto computers.
Support for the BioAPI standard, which is the leading standard for biometrics products, is an important advantage for the customer. It means, among other things, that the product dovetails easily with all software for biometric authentication that supports BioAPI.
