FARNBOROUGH 2002 AIR SHOW, FARNBOROUGH, U.K., July 23, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pilot and air traffic control specialist communications will be enhanced through a 10-year contract awarded to Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Denro Systems operating unit to supply its next-generation voice communication switching systems (VCSS) to the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Automated Flight Service Stations (AFSS).

AFSS systems provide flight planning, advisory and communications services to general aviation pilots along the nation's airways and terminal air routes.
