STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 23, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Modern Times Group MTG AB (Nasdaq:MTGNY), the international media group, today announced that Kjell Sundvall's film, `Grabben i graven bredvid,` is a huge success in Swedish cinemas and is the number one film in the Swedish box office. The film, based on Katarina Mazetti's novel of the same name, has been seen by 180,000 people.
Sonet Film, being both distributor and co-producer of the film has a market share of over 50% of Swedish films for the Swedish cinemas. Amongst earlier films that Sonet has distributed are 'Anglagard,' 'Jagarna,' `Jalla! Jalla!,` `Tomten ar far till alla barnen,` `Vingar av glas,` `Leva Livet,' 'Tillsammans,' 'Livvakterna,' and 'Livet ar en schlager.'

Movies scheduled from Sonet Film are Lukas Moodysson's `Lilja 4-Ever,` having its premiere today, Richard Hobert's `Alla alskar Alice` and Josef Fares new film, which is produced at the moment but does not yet have a title.
