At this time BOW EAGLE sailed through the same area in the Bay of Biscay enroute from Brazil to Rotterdam, The Netherlands. We have been informed that three crew members from CISTUDE have been rescued and four of the crew are missing. Odfjell is co-operating with the French authorities to find out more about the incident and a French investigation team are onboard BOW EAGLE to evaluate the situation.
BOW EAGLE is now proceeding towards discharge port in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and as an extra precaution a tug is following the vessel to observe that no further pollution occurs.
