Dimension Telecom Signs Framework Agreement with 3GIS

BROMMA, Sweden, Oct. 3, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The IT integrator Dimension's subsidiary, Dimension Telecom has signed a framework agreement with 3G Infrastructure Services AB (3GIS) on consulting services for the expansion of infrastructure for 3G networks. The agreement will remain in effect until further notice.

Dimension Telecom specializes in integration solutions and infrastructure for telecom operators' service networks. Through the framework agreement with 3GIS, Dimension further strengthens its role as an integrator in the telecom market and gains a decisive position as a competence partner when operators invest in new networks.

3G Infrastructure Services AB (3GIS), which was established in April 2001, is owned by mobile operators Vodafone AB, Hi3G Access AB and Orange Sverige AB. Its mission is to build and manage the infrastructure that allows operators to offer their customers mobile services via third generation mobile networks.

"3GIS is a unique customer in that this marks the first time three competing operators with UMTS licenses are cooperating to build and operate a shared infrastructure," said Sven Uthorn, Managing Director of Dimension. "This places extremely high demands on technical solutions and operational management. 3GIS' selection of Dimension Telecom as a service provider is an indication, together with the other agreements we have signed recently with operators, of our strong position prior to the expansion of 3G networks."
