`Hair Raisin' Funds' -- New book offers refreshing look on the ancient fear of Fundraising

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, Dec. 19, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Suzann Carr has discovered over the years that just hearing the word "fundraising" makes people want to run away. As a mother of two school age children and belonging to a church that is always short on funds she's discovered a new and fun way to raise money.

In her new book, "Hair Raisin' Funds Mystery Plays" (now available through 1stBooks Library), Carr offers several of those ways, including (but not limited to):

- Three "G" rated plays to choose from

- Many helpful suggestions for each play

- Tried and true recipes for large groups

This is an inexpensive way to raise money for your group.

Carr and her church groups have paid as much as $500 to buy and perform a single play at their church facilities. That's when she decided to write one herself.

Now it's your turn: Try it, and you'll put the FUN back into your own FUNdraising!

Suzann Carr is a playwright; active in W.A.A.T.S. (Wesley Amateur Actors Troupe), she also works with her husband at their insurance agency. She has been involved with fundraising for her church, her son's elementary school, her daughter's band and the youth group at church.

She lives in Corpus Christi, Texas with her husband and their two children. Suzann is currently working on her sixth play: "Udder Nonsense!"
