What: Philadelphia's Annual New Year's Eve fireworks show over the
Delaware River! 2002 will end in sparkling delight with a
spectacular twenty-minute fireworks show. The first song to
launch the fireworks display is The Philadelphia Song by
Philadelphian Linda Swain. The rest of the soundtrack includes
a number of Beatles favorites.
Background: It has become a hugely popular Philadelphia tradition
for Penn's Landing to host New Year's Eve Fireworks. The
sidewalks are lined with onlookers, streets are filled
with people parked in cars and the Blue Cross RiverRink
is always sold out for its annual New Year's Eve Party on
