The Joyful Elation of Love and the Depths of Sorrow -- Poet Examines the Variety of Feelings Associated with Love

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y., July 18, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Love, passion, sorrow and hope are timeless, universal feelings. People's perceptions of these emotions vary widely; each person holds a unique view. Author Eric Anton Kreuter presents his take on these feelings, written with a strong current of emotion and truth in his new book of poetry, Love's Journey: A Book of Reflections (now available through 1stBooks).

A genuine, fresh collection of poetry and short stories that also illustrates the ecstatic high of love and the painful sorrow of loss, Kreuter's collection reaches out to the reader and allows them to relate to these familiar feelings. He writes that he included both poems about true love and poems about the crumbling loss of love because life is mixture of both wonderful and painful times.

In "To Whom I Have Known," Kreuter exhibits his ability to capture great ideas in just a few well-chosen words:

"I view the rapid rush of traveling waves./ They speak of tested truism and provenance./ Though alone, I feel warmth beside me./ This is familiar to me in many heartfelt ways./ My soul is filled with burning passions of yearning./ Compelled to explore the greater depth./ I have recognized the eternal eyes once familiar./ Beacons of light shining from a distant shore./ True portals of such a beautiful soul ... "

Kreuter hopes readers apply his words to relationships in their own lives and gain a deeper understanding of them. It will help those exploring the depths of their own relationships to examine them on a new level. The author writes that his work can add power to the reader's appreciation for the renewal of love in their lives.

Kreuter is currently completing his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Saybrook Graduate School in San Francisco. Kreuter is both a practicing certified public accountant and teacher of human resource management at the graduate level. In addition to being an artist, songwriter and long distance runner (he has completed 22 marathons), he also is a volunteer counselor and instructor at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility. He is married and has four children.
