WHAT: The Labor Day period provides an opportunity to feature
stories on ALS and other neuromuscular diseases. Amyotrophic
lateral sclerosis, or ALS, is a progressive neurodegenerative
disease that affects 30,000 people annually. The ALS
Association (ALSA) is the only national not for profit
voluntary health organization dedicated solely to the fight
against ALS.
ALSA is making experts in ALS available to the media from the
national headquarters in Los Angeles.
In addition, for localized stories, ALSA will coordinate
interviews with people at the 38 ALSA chapters in the United
States.
