The Board of Directors of Feintool International Holding, Lyss, has appointed Reto Hartmann as the new CEO of Feintool Group. He will assume the Chief Executive Officer mandate on 1 January 2004. In the interim, these responsibilities will be assumed by Michael Funk, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Reto Hartmann, 46, is a Swiss citizen who holds a degree in law (lic. jur.). He is married and has four children. For the last five years, he has been CEO of the Valora Group, which is headquartered in Berne. He will be introduced to attendees at the Feintool Group's Media Conference on 25 November 2003.
The Board of Directors firmly believes that Reto Hartmann is the right person to ensure continuity in implementing Feintool's business strategy. Together with the experienced Group Management, he will work steadily towards strengthening the business.
Based in Lyss, Switzerland, Feintool is a leading technology and systems provider in fineblanking/forming and assembly/automation. It is also a supplier of metal and plastic components.
Feintool operates globally with approximately 1700 employees at the company's own facilities in Switzerland (head office in Lyss), Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain, the United States, Japan and China. Around half its employees are located in Switzerland.
