Wolters Kluwer nv announces the appointment of Rolv Eide as CEO of Legal, Tax & Business Europe as of November 1, 2003. Mr. Eide has extensive experience in business information and media services within several European countries. With this appointment Wolters Kluwer further strengthens its senior management team.
Nancy McKinstry, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board, commented: "With his strong senior management experience in the information industry, Rolv Eide will greatly contribute to our strategy for expanding Wolters Kluwer's market positions in Europe and increasing operational efficiencies through shared services."

Since 2001, Mr. Eide (Norwegian, 49) was the Chief Operating Officer of Tele Atlas Europe, the leading provider of digital maps for navigation products and database solutions. Mr. Eide had worked with Dun & Bradstreet from 1985 to 2001, the latter part as Executive Vice President. He has a degree in business administration from the University of Stockholm.
As CEO of Legal, Tax & Business Europe, Rolv Eide will build on the Wolters Kluwer strategy, with a focus on expanding the leading position within core segments by delivering integrated content, software and services to professional customers.
