MUNCHEN, Germany, Dec. 18, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Christopher R. DeNisco was appointed as a new member of the Managing Board effective January 1, 2004.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the wholly owned subsidiary SND Electronics Inc, will complement the Managing Board of ce CONSUMER ELECTRONIC AG.
DeNisco has 23 years of international experience in the semiconductor market and has been at the top of SND Electronics Inc. for 7 years. Under his successful leadership , the company has increased its annual sales from 64 million U.S. dollars in 1996 to 257 million U.S. dollars in 2002. Since the acquisition by ce in 2000, SND Electronics Inc. has been a fully consolidated subsidiary of the ce Group.
ce CONSUMER ELECTRONIC Group is the largest chip broker worldwide. The company has 27 offices in Europe as well as in the U.S., Latin America, Asia and Australia. The group had 464 employees as of September 30, 2003.
With this internal appointment to the newly organized Managing Board, the Supervisory Board expects a strengthening of the global efficiency of the Group and a fast realization of synergy effects.
