Force Protection, Inc. Hires Vice President


CHARLESTON, S.C., Feb. 12, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Force Protection, Inc. (OTCBB:FRCP) announced today the appointment of Murray Hammick to the position of Vice President, Project Management. Mr. Hammick will report directly to Michael Watts, the Company's CEO. In this capacity, Mr. Hammick will oversee and coordinate all projects at both Force Protection and its wholly owned subsidiary, Technical Solutions Group.

Mr. Hammick is a former Royal Armor Corps officer with operational and technical training, who attended the Long Armor Infantry Course, and also served as a weapons and armor trial officer. He was senior editor of Janes International Defense Review before being recruited by Alvis Vehicles Limited as Business Development Manger and Sales and Marketing Manager for NATO, Australia, and South Africa. While working for Alvis, Mr. Hammick brought out mine protected vehicle (MPV) technology and subsequently won a contract to sell MPV's to the British Army. Mr. Hammick was appointed Product Manager, responsible for developing two armored vehicles and one Special Forces vehicle. He subsequently established Seafire Limited and went on to win a number of contracts, including some in partnership with TSG and Supacat.
